London Sweet London

I was in London with my friends between the end of february and the beginning of march, from 27th to 6th.
This is a film about our trip where you can see, even in a short version, what's like to party with us!

We stayed at our friend Ines's in Stoke Newington wich is a small village next to the city centre, about half an hour long by bus and, in those six days we met London, as a city with all the touristic cliché points, some more secret spots and it's people, food and culture.

When we first arrived from the airport in Liverpool St, to catch the bus to Stoke Newington, we met a drunk men who started jumping around us, laughing and singing out loud "you are f*cking tourists, you are f*cking tourists..." (on repeat), it was a really awkward situation 'cause english people aren't usually so outgoing, but it was also very funny and it gave us the idea to create our official hashtag for this trip which is #wearefuckingtouristsinlondon, so if you want to see our instagram photos of london you just have to search for this hashtag!
Having an special hashtag for a certain event or trip is a very good idea because later, when you want to remember it, you don't need to scroll down infinite times, you just have to search for your hashtag, and you'll see not only your photos but also the ones that your friends shared under the same hashtag.

Girls Trip To London

Only 21 days left and I'm off to London. First trip of 2014! The first of many, I hope.
Time's running out and there are so many things to plan... Where to go? What to see? Decisions, decisions...
Thank god we've a friend living there to give us some tips! And, there are always some city guides to help us too... So, where should we start?
We'll spend a week there and we'll try to avoid the classic tourist tours and photos... well, not all of them, of course we'll go to the most visit places there but we'll do it our own way!
We will also go to some other place... we'll leave London for one day to go to somewhere near the sea... but, for now, let's keep it a surprise, shall we?

There's only one more thing I want to ask you, any tips for the not so touristy side of London?

Dear London, I'll see you three weeks from now. Can't wait!!

Wanderlust

Somebody once said: "At least once in a year, go to a place you've never been before".
And that's exactly what we are going to do! We will travel all over Europe, meeting new cultures and enjoying this wanderlust feeling... And our journey to meet The Old Continent starts right this month with a girls trip to London! But, like you already know, the bigger part of it will be in summer on our Interrail Adventure! Can't wait!!

2014 is definitely a year of wanderlust! Enjoy it.

Change of Plans

A lot can change in some seconds... And, there's no exception in our Interrail Adventure for next summer.
Life brought me some new opportunities for next season so, we had to do some adjustments in our next summer trip.
It will still start on July's 28th and we'll do most of the things that we had already plan, but we had to cut some places to make the trip a bit shorter 'cause I have got to be back in Lisbon by the end of August.
So, we decided to cut Bled, Brussels and Lille. We chose not to visit this three places right now but we hope to go there sometime! I will also come home earlier from Paris, so I won't be able to go to Vogue's Fashion Night Out there, but it's for a very good cause... I'll let you know, soon!

New Year's Resolution

This year, I will...
Be kind. Smile more. Worry less. Watch the sun rising and setting. Inspire and get inspired. Appreciate the small and simple things. Fall in love. Blog more. Study harder. Work harder. Volunteer at Rock in Rio. Graduate. Travel. Party, as always. Have a great summer. Go on an Interrail. Meet different cultures. Accept challenges. Say "good bye" to Lisbon. Move to London. Live by myself. Start a post graduation course there. Be productive. Work to get my dream job. Be like Naomi. Have new experiences. Meet new people. Make new friends. Miss home. Be strong. Send postcards to my friends and family. Skype a lot. Come home for Christmas. Party a little more. Have another excellent year to remember.

Things To Do In Europe

Last summer, on my birthday, my friends gave me a box with all the basic things that I'll need to survive on our Interrail Adventure!
One of those things was a really cute sketch book where I'm supposed to write about our jorney.

Some days ago, I decided to start writing a list of some things that I want to do while we are on our trip.
It's not finished yet but here are some of the experiences that are on my "Things To Do In Europe" list...

Next Summer's Adventure

Me and my girls are planning an interrail... 43 days wandering around Europe!
We know that it seems that we still have a lot of time to put this togheter but a bit more than six months isn't that much time to plan such a big journey and we really are very excited with this idea! And, since we don't really know if we are making all the right choices any tips are welcome!

As the story* says, in 1872 Phileas Fogg attempted to take a tour around the world in Eighty Days or less! In our case, we thought that we have to conquer which place at its time so we decided to dedicate our next summer to the oldest continent. So, on 28th of July we will start our adventure, returning home to Portugal, 43 days later, on September 8th.

This is the itinerary that we have planed so far but, I've got to admit that we have changed it a lot lately so, I really can't say if this is closed or if some negotiations can change it again.

Our journey will start in Rome and we will set course through Sienna, Florence, Milan, Verona, Vicenza, Venice, Ljubljana, Bled, Zagreb, Plitvice National Park, Split, Hvar, Budapest, Wien, Cracow, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and ending in Paris where we will spend more than a week relaxing, taking walks, enjoying the end of our trip and saying good bye to our great summer and talking about all adventures we had.
